The much publicised Tinubu/ Shettima Presidential Rally billed for Ilorin ,the Kwara State capital may and may not hold after all, following conflicting directives from the party hierarchy .
A statement by Alhaji Saadu Salahu for the local organising committee for the Bola Ahmed Tinunbu/Shetima presidential camapign rally in Kwara state , issued in Ilorin Monday said the postponement was necessary to allow president Muhammadu Buhari led the camapign.
It reads, “We regret to announce the postponement of Bola Ahmed Tinubu/ Shetima APC presidential campaign rally scheduled to hold in Ilorin tomorrow Tuesday 17, January, 2023.
“This is in order to allow President Muhammadu Buhari to lead the campaign.
“The President is scheduled for an International engagement outside the country this week , beginning from tomorrow but insists he would like to personally lead the APC Presidential rally in Kwara state.
“We deeply regret any inconveniences the postponement might have caused our guests and all APC stakeholders.”
The statement obtained fro Faleke’s official tweeter handle reads “Ignore Governor Abdulrazaq’s directive, Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign rally in Kwara will hold tomorrow as scheduled.
