Kwara Tinubu/Shettima Rally : Uncertainty As Kwara Governor, Faleke Give Conflicting Directives .

The much publicised Tinubu/ Shettima Presidential Rally billed for Ilorin ,the Kwara State capital may and may not hold after all,  following  conflicting directives from the  party hierarchy  .

A statement by Alhaji Saadu Salahu for the local organising committee for the Bola Ahmed Tinunbu/Shetima presidential camapign rally in Kwara state , issued in Ilorin Monday said the postponement  was necessary to allow  president Muhammadu Buhari led the camapign.

It reads, “We regret to announce the postponement of Bola Ahmed Tinubu/ Shetima APC presidential campaign rally  scheduled to hold in Ilorin tomorrow Tuesday 17, January, 2023.

“This is in order to allow President Muhammadu Buhari to lead the campaign.

“The President is scheduled for an International engagement outside the country this week , beginning from tomorrow but insists he would like to personally lead the APC Presidential rally in Kwara state.

“We deeply regret any inconveniences the postponement might have caused our guests and all APC stakeholders.”

But another statement purportedly signed by the Secretary  of the APC Presidential  Campaign  Council ,  Hon James Faleke  urged the party supporters  to ignore the earlier directive.

The statement  obtained fro  Faleke’s official tweeter handle  reads “Ignore Governor Abdulrazaq’s directive, Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign rally in Kwara will hold tomorrow as scheduled.

“I hereby confirm that the APC Presidential Campaign rally slated for 17/1/23 will hold as scheduled. Please be advised accordingly.”
