Moghalu Flays Unwarranted Attacks on Soyinka  Over 2023 Poll

Says:  Nobel Laureate Will Survive Lazy Social Media Attack Dogs

The  presidential candidate of African Democratic Congress in the 2019 general elections, Kingsley Moghalu has  cautioned supporters of Labour Party flag-bearer, Peter Obi against hurling unwarranted attacks on Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka

Moghalu   argued that it would be unfair for any lazy commentators to crucify Soyinka  over his honest remarks on the 2023 elections.
Soyinka, came under heavy attacks by LP supporters  after he granted an interview where he  likened Obi’s supporters popularly called ‘OBIdients’ to fascism

Moghalu while condemning attacks on the Nobel Laureate said Soyinka  is a phenomenon that unlettered and uncultured people may not fully understand in an age of lazy social media in which many don’t read or think deep.
He  described the Nobel laureate as a “principled fighter for justice not only in Nigeria but around the world”.

The banker also recalled how Soyinka in the buildup to the 2019 elections endorsed him describing the moment as a great honour in his life.

Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka is a principled fighter for justice in our country and around the world.

His (Soyinka) endorsement of my 2019 presidential candidacy in my short-lived but impactful foray into Nigerian electoral politics remains one of the greatest honors of my life.

I view very dimly any criticism of him simply because he’s OBJECTIVE. He survived dictators. He will survive you
