Prominent sons and daughters of Ogun State celebrated His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, CFR, the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, on his 89th birth anniversary.
Among early callers were former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and one of his predecessors in office ,Chief Segun Osoba.
Governor Abiodun in his remarks expressed appreciation to God Almighty for His grace on tbe royal father.
“With heartfelt joy and appreciation to the Almighty God, we all gathered to celebrate His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, CFR, the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, on his 89th birth anniversary.
“Over the years, our dear father and ruler – Òrìṣà Ìjẹ̀bú has shown leadership, by bringing great development to the entire Ijebuland and for this, we are indeed grateful to God for His show of love over our highly revered king. We pray for more great years ahead, in sound health and peace of mind.” the governor said
