NMA Felicitates with Oyebanji, Hails reappointment of Health Commissioner

The Nigerian Medical Association(NMA) has felicitated  with Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) and Mrs Monisade Afuye on their successful inauguration as governor and deputy governor of Ekiti State ,respectively.

The NMA, in a congratulatory message signed by Dr Babatunde Rosiji and Dr Moses Dada ,the Chairman and the Secretary respectively  expressed its readiness to work with and support the new administration.

The professional body,specifically thanked governor Oyebanji for recalling  one of its members and  immediate past Commissioner for Health,Dr Oyebanji Filani to his former position.

The association assured that its members are ever ready to give their best to the state ,so long the system would replicate same by giving the best in terms of facilities and welfare  of medical professionals.

NMA equally admonished the new administration  to improve the working condition of medical personnel inorder to stem the tide of brain drain  being experienced in Ekiti and across Nigeria.

“The Chairman, NMA Ekiti, the State Officers’ Committee and the entire members of the Association congratulate one of our own, Dr. Oyebanji Filani as he is reappointed the Commissioner for Health and Human Services.

“We equally appreciate His Excellency, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for the trust he has in the capacity of our reappointed Honourable Commissioner.

“Your recall has been premised on “the sensitive nature of some of the projects and initiatives currently being executed by the Ministry”

“NMA Ekiti will continue to partner with and support the Ministry of Health and Human Service under your able leadership to achieve the set objectives.

“We also believe that you will use your good office to stem the trend of brain drain our Nation and State are currently experiencing.” the statement reads.
