The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Correspondents Chapel,Ekiti State chapter has expressed appreciation to governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO)for appointing one of their own and Thisday Newspapers Correspondent as Special Assistant on Media to the Deputy Governor, Mrs Monisade Afuye.
The Vice-Chairman and Secretary,Comrades Raphael Ogbonaiye and Victor Akinkuolie,in a release respectively, thanked the State Government for giving the chapel the slot.
The union leaders therefore prayed to God Almighty to grant Ogunje the strength, knowledge and understanding to record success in the new assignment.
The Chapel described the appointment of its Chairman as the Special Assistant t as a round peg in a round hole
It however promised to give Ogunje the necessary support to Ogunje to excel in his new official responsibility.
The Chapel also expressed gratitude to Governor Biodun Oyebanji for the consideration describing him as a media friendly Governor.
Ogunje ,a senior journalist had served in various capacity at the chapel level before he was elected chairman few years ago.
