Ogunwole Assumes Office As 5th Substantive FUOYE Vice Chancellor 

 

The chairman of the Governing Council, Federal University, Oye- Ekiti (FUOYE) Sen. Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, has appealed to staff ,students and the unions to give full support to the 5th Substantive Vice Chancellor , Prof. Joshua Ogunwole,.

Speaking during the Inauguration ceremonies for the new VC ,Ndoma-Egba represented by Hajiya Nafisa Amin said
the university must continue to uphold excellence in teaching, research  and community service, while supporting the staff and students to realize their full potential.

“We must embrace digital transformation, Foster creativity and strengthen research that address both local and global challenges”.

In his inaugural address, Prof Ogunwole warned against acts of indiscipline in the university system.

He equally  warned  that behaviours inconsistent with the values of academia, ranging from confrontational postering and verbal aggression to open disregards for constitutional authority in the institution must stop henceforth.

Ogunwole cautioned that actions that weakened discipline, order and respect for due process, will no longer be tolerated accordingly.

He said his leadership will rise to confront the culture of indiscipline.and be consistent to enforcement of  institutional rules and ethical standards in the university community.

He promised to champion a comprehensive reforms in FUOYE,

In his inauguration lecture, a former Vice Chancellor, University of Indian, Prof. Abel Olayinka urged the new V.C. to provide leadership in uplifting the growth of the university.

Prof. Olayinka, said he should be prepared to be misunderstood, misrepresented and maliciously maligned for political gains by others because of numbers of conspiracy theories.

In his goodwill speech, the Soun of Ogbomodo, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, wish the new V.C. God’s guidance in his speech vision to accomplished his mission in the institution.

The ceremony was attended  by some traditional rulers, religious leaders including Most Rev. Felix Ajakaye,. Also in attendance was the Bowen University, Iwo, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Jonathan Oyebamiji Bablalola
