Onirele’s Demise, Shocking , Painful says Ekiti Lawmaker

The Lawmaker representing Ikole Constituency 2 in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has mourned the death of Onirele of Irele- Ekiti, Oba Ezekiel Bamidele Adesogan, saying the vacuum he left  would be difficult to fill.
Aribasoye, which Irele- Ekiti is part of the component towns under his constituency, branded the departed monarch as a specially gifted royal personage, whose counseling helped him in navigating the political terrain of the area.
Oba Adesogan died on Sunday, 21st August, 2022, after reigning in the kingdom for many years.
In his condolence message to Onirele-in -Council, Aribasoye expressed grieve over the abrupt demise of the respected monarch, urging his subjects to take solace in the fact that the traditional ruler lived a worthy, rewarding and exemplary life.
Speaking about the outstanding virtues of Oba Adesogan, Aribasoye applauded the monarch’s unbridled quests for development, his spartan lifestyle and down- to -earth  dispositions to all issues.
“The late Onirele was one traditional ruler I loved and revered so well in  many respects. He was one personality whose royalty didn’t worship power. He would tell you the truth to guide you to the right direction, so that you can deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
“It was also heartwarming to say that many of the public institutions, road infrastructures and appointments allotted to Irele Ekiti under sequential political dispensations were witnessed under the development-driven monarch.
“Under the Ikole Local Government, Oba Adesogan acted more like a team player. He was non-partisan and fair-minded, regardless of your political inclinations and religious beliefs. Putting the facts in succinct fashion, his vacuum would be difficult to fill and match.
“I condole the Onirele-in-Council, the Elekole and  Paramount ruler of Egbe Oba kingdom, Oba Ajibade Fasiku, the Ikole Council area, Ajoni Local Council Development Area and the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi on the demise of this respectable royal personage.
“I pray that the good Lord shall rise and give Irele Ekiti a monarch that would be devoted to the service of humanity the way Oba Adesogan did”.
Aribasoye appealed to the town’s kingmakers and royal families in the town to eschew any fierce battle that can truncate the expeditious and seamless selection process for speedy  ascension of a succeeding Onirele that will  pilot the affairs of the town.
