The Federal Road Safety Corps, RS 8.27 Otun Unit Command, Ekiti State, on Monday, 31st August 2026, performed the foundation laying ceremony for the fencing of its Command premises.
The ceremony was performed by , Oba Dr. Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo- The Oore of Otun Ekiti, Paramount Ruler of Moba Land, Coordinator Southwest, National Council of Traditional Rulers, Abuja, and Coordinator Southwest, Southern Nigeria Traditional Rulers Council Committee on Primary Health Care, Abuja._
Addressing the gathering, the Paramount Ruler emphasized the importance of the safety of lives and property of Moba indigenes and all road users traversing Moba roads.
He stated that the community’s decision to support the FRSC was borne out of a clear understanding of the critical role the Corps plays in ensuring safety on the highways.
Oba Adeagbo further reiterated his commitment to ensuring the completion of the project through mobilizing sons and daughters of Moba Kingdom in the diaspora to support the noble cause.
He also pledged his personal commitment toward the timely completion of the fencing project.
In his response, the Sector Commander, CC Sanya Adeoye, appreciated His Royal Majesty for his kind gesture and continuous support to the FRSC since he assumed office over a year ago.
He assured the Monarch of the Corps’ unwavering commitment to the _safety of lives and properties on the highways_ within Ekiti State and beyond.
Earlier in the programme, the Acting Unit Commander, *CRC Abraham Abisoye*, conducted the Royal Father and other guests round the facilities at the office, which were provided by the community and other well-meaning individuals.
The event concluded with prayers for the success of the project and for safer roads in Moba Land and Ekiti State.
Also in attendance were the Sector Commander, FRSC Ekiti State Command, Corps Commander Sanya Adeoye,and the Acting Unit Commander of Otun Unit Command, Chief Route Commander Abraham Abisoye, alongside other traditional chiefs, community leaders, and well-wishers.
