A member of the House of Representatives ,Prince Olaide Lateef Muhammed (POLAM) has described the victory of Dr Tajudeen Abbas as the SPEAKER of the 10th National Assembly as not only historic but symbolic.
Prince Muhammed ,who represents Irepo-Oorelope- Olorunspgo Federal Constituency,in his goodwill message said even though, Dr Abbas’ victory was not unexpected since he paraded the best credentials among the contenders.
The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) from Oyo State reiterated that with the victory of Rt Hon Abbas,the 10th National Assembly has elected the most qualified and most productive leader.
” I want to use this medium to join millions of Nigerians, particularly, my colleagues- lawmakers to rejoice with Rt Hon Tajudeen Abbas on his election as the 10th National Assembly Speaker. From the beginning of the struggle, you have shown the capacity to enplace an inclusive leadership as evident in the margins of victory. . The huge votes recorded by you was an indication that your election was by popular demand.
” I must equally thanked our action President, Bola Tinubu for providing leadership in the most crucial moments .This ,no doubt, gave us this victory. As a member ,I want to renewed my unalloyed loyalty to your leadership as you settle down for legislative business. Congratulations once again and I wish you success in your new position ” POLAM said .
He thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing leadership in ensuring that the elections in the two Chambers were not only free and fair but devoid of rancour.
Muhammed, equally thanked the APC stakeholders and opposition caucus in the Assembly for their support for the party and its candidates.
