The Ogotun High School(OHS) 1985 Set, on the weekend celebrated its 40th Reunion .The event was organized to commemorate four decades of the exit of members from the school .
The gathering of old classmates, rekindling cherished memories and celebrating lifelong bonds.
They were warmly received by the Principal, Akinluyi Martins
At the event ,Mr. F. Olu Olawunmi (fondly known as Liberty) represented the teachers, while Pastor Omolewa Joseph,the pioneering Senior Prefect also graced the occasion.
Among the alumni of the school were: Prof Azeez Olaniyan, former Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Federal University, Oye Ekiti and Former Chairman of Ekiti Southwest Local Government, Ilawe Ekiti and Prof Gbenga Aladegbola, Deputy VC, Crawford University, Igbesa.
The event featured awards presentations to some teachers ,while outstanding students also received prizes.
Another highlight of the event was the donated a new photocopying machine to the school by the 1985 Set.
In his remarks,the Reunion Coordinator, Mr. Ajibabi Ajayi (Korukoru), emphasized that the event was organized to commemorate four decades of their exit from OHS. Senior Prefect Muibi Adebimpe reflected on their days at the school and the significance of the Reunion.
Also at the event were: Ajayi Ajibabi Korukoru, Federal Ministry of Labour, Major Mary Aluko(retired), of the Nigerian Army Medical Corps, Muibi Adebimoe, School Principal, Oyo State and Mr Jerome Ajewole, former Pathologist at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Shagamu.
