Second Term :  Ilodo Community Leaders Back Oyebanji  Appeal For Construction Of 8km Road  

 

Ilodo Community of Oye Ekiti Local Government Area of Ekiti State has hailed the Governor of the state, Biodun Oyebanji over construction of box culvert at the entrance of the community, along old Oye/Ire road.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed and made available to journalists by the Obalodo of Oye Kingdom, Hon Tale Ogunyinbo, Dada Sunday and two other community leaders.

The community noted that the Governor’s development strides in the field of human and capital had made invaluable progress and positive contributions to the lives of Ekiti people.

They said the road has been neglected for almost ten years by the previous administration, despite several appeals.

They thereby appealed to the governor to construct the 8km road as it hosts government institutions such as SIEC, INEC Office, Oye Local Government, Oye Egbon High School and Crawford University.

The statement reads, “First and foremost, the entire community people of the above address in Oye-Ekiti, wish to identify ourselves with you and your government for your various successes and achievements in the state since your assumption of office as the Executive Governor of Ekiti State.

“Your developmental efforts, in the field of human and capital developments had made invaluable progress and positive contributions to the life of the good people of Ekiti State. Your social investments, and provision of infrastructure facilities, and economic services for humanity services for the people of Ekiti State are multi dimensional and numerous to mention.

“It’s on these notes therefore, that we the chiefs, and community leaders in the above address write through the Hon. Commissioner for Rural development to thank you immensely, that we are grateful for the construction of the box culvert at the entrance of Ilodo quarters/Community, along Old Oye/Ire Road, Oye-Ekiti. We must let your Excellency know that for more than ten years Ilodo community and other people using the road, particularly, farmers, students, local government workers, civil servants and other categories of people that are numerous to mention had suffered neglect and human degradation without anything that can facilitate pleasure for human habitation in the community.

“Your Excellency, sir, permit us to mention that we are like Oliver Twist, we continue to ask for more. The road in question host the following government institutions, like SIEC, Oye Local government, local government library.. Inec office and Oye Egbo High school, and Crawford University, Oye-Ekiti. And, the road leads to Ire-Ekiti, which the administration of Fayose and, Segun Oni awarded the construction but later abandoned. The road is just 8km to Ire-Ekiti.

“Your Excellency sir, we want to throw our bundles of thanks and show gratitude for what you have done for our community. And, we wish to request for your passionate support and kindness to give this road a special consideration to construct the road down to Ire-Ekiti. The advantages and benefits of constructing it will be multidimensional, apart from boasting the image of this government.

“Finally, sir, we will continue to support your government and be rest assured that your election for 2nd term is a work-over.

“Once again Your Excellency, we appreciate your humility, accessibility and kindness disposition to humanity”.
