A Tiv criminal child trader from Zaki-Biam, Benue State was reportedly arrested in Asaba over alleged child trafficking, is said to have confessed to selling dozens of children to different states across Nigeria.
According to information shared by the wife of the Tor Tiv, the suspect allegedly confessed at the Tor Tiv Palace that he sold 39 children aged between 3 and 6 years. Over 20 children aged above 6 years.
The children were allegedly sold to different states, including Delta and Edo, with some reportedly placed with families without children.
He is still being interrogated at the Tor Tiv Palace.
