Dear POTUS Sir.
United States of America is great and so regarded for a number of reasons particularly the military capacity and capabilities but RESPECTED AND LOVED by many because of her reputation as the land of liberty 🗽, respect and regard for individuals and by extension Sovereign States.
The Statute of liberty stands till this day as a daily reminder of that incredibly great nation.
The Statue of Liberty located on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, Manhattan is not just another monument Mr President, it speaks loudly daily to the earned identity of the land that the forebears of many from accross the oceans came into as slaves and found liberty and their succeding generations have come into to find opportunity in most cases not repression.
The Statue of Liberty therefore remains the symbol of:
– Freedom: Representing the ideals of liberty and democracy
– Hope: Embodying the hope for a better life and opportunities
– Opportunity: Symbolizing the chance for people to pursue their dreams
This statue was a gift from France to the United States, dedicated on October 28, 1886.
It’s one of the most iconic landmarks in the world, not only welcoming millions of visitors and immigrants each year to a land of defined essence and definition of freedom but connecting the evolutionary dots of the land with a heritage of tolerance and respect for others.
POTUS Sir, you have done well with dialogue with President Zelensky of Ukraine 🇺🇦 and President Putin of Russia 🇷🇺, You also have consulted widely on middle east issues where you had deployed and embraced consultations, even North Korea you adopted functional diplomacy..
May I say most respectfully that Nigeria’s 🇳🇬 case should not be different.
POTUS Sir, I am a Nigerian and a Christian, and i then in acknowledgement, recognition and deference to the mutual respect between our two nations, suggest that you kindly convene a meeting with our President, His Excellency Bola Tinubu who i believe is also deeply concerned as you are about the goings on and of course taking steps too to put an end to the insecurity challenges that we are confronted with as a nation.
Mr POTUS Sir, one fact remains that this issue cannot be addressed with the expressions of a few only which obviously could be given different versions, identities and interpretation depending on who is telling the story.
What no one will not deny is that it is real and a matter of grave concern to all Nigerians and friends of Nigeria.
From a broad overview It would appear that efforts are being made by the present administration and the military to ensure that this is not allowed to to fester, if we compare today’s reality with where we are coming from. But it is still of grave concern to everyone.
To this end POTUS Sir, i will suggest a frank and factual dialogue session between yourself and our President, this meeting i believe will bring the both of you, our leaders to the same page and agreement on how best to address this serious situation and give it the attention it deserves.
Adopting this approach Mr President, will deepen the warm relationship and bilateral affairs between our nations and our people, you will be celebrated more for your kind concern and respect for our status as a sovereign nation and the well beingof our people regardless of their faith because terror is terror, and unsparring of faith identity when it is left unchallenged and fully unhinged.
Your concern is surely well informed and appreciated and this finds accommodation in the concern of the present Federal Government.
But when we work together we will achieve more and faster, together.
