Unique CDA Hosts Lectures, Awards December 17

The Unique Community Development Association (CDA) Araromi, Idi-Osan, Matogun, Ogun State would host it’s maiden annual lectures and awards on December 17 at Akemo Way by 3pm prompt.
A statement issued by the Chairman of the CDA, Dr Ajibola Abayomi on Monday said the event was inevitable to appraise various development strides in the community.
He hinted that certificates of honour would be presented to the deserving members of the community that had contributed to it’s growth.
The event would feature Alhaji Musa Saliman Olusanya, the Igba-Otun Area Community Development Council Chairman, Prince Ayodele Jegede, the Marvelous Group CDA Chairman and Dr Tope Olugbile as guest speakers to lecture on community engagements and heath issues respectively.
“We have evaluated  various community development efforts on ground at Araromi, there is need to re-strategise in order to complement the successes so far by the people and plan ahead as well.
“In this part of Ogun state, residents have done so much for themselves without assistance from both the local or state government. Therefore it is not too much foth both authorities to bring the desired succour to the people who have been solely catering for themselves  through self help.
“Though, it is demanding and extremely painful to travel this road, we have no choice but to continue to do the needful and move on until the government deems it fit to intervene positively” the chairman lamented.
The occasion would have in attendance the Baale of Araromi, Chief Adetunji Adebiyi and the leaders of the Ogun State Community Social, Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe) reverred for their efforts in helping to secure and fight crimes in the area over the years.
Dr Ajibola added that: “As a responsible citizen, the task of community development is a call to duty for all of us. Everyone should be  concerned about our community ‘s growth and security. In as much as we don’t expect government to do everything, at least they have the means to do something for posterity to judge everyone rightly.”
