The League of Veteran Journalists,Ekiti State Chapter has rejoiced with the Ekiti State Governor elect Mr Biodun Oyebanji on his victory in the June 18 Governorship poll.
The senior journalists also prayed to God to grant Oyebanji good health to witness his inauguration and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state for the next four years.
High Chief Ajibade Olubunmi,the group’s Publicity Secretary in a statement said Veteran Journalists at monthly meeting promised to work closely with the incoming administration and give it the necessary supports.
Meanwhile, the League has ratified the expansion of members of its executive in a move to further strengthen the activities of the organization.
With this development, the expanded executive include Prince Kayode Oni as the Chairman, Prince Sola Adetule – Vice Chairman Pastor Adeola Babalola – General-Secretary and Mr. Dele Owoyomi, the Assistant General Secretary .
Other executive members are:High Chief Ajibade Olubunmi – Publicity Secretary, Mr. Idowu Oguntuase – Treasurer, Mr. Laleye Lasore – Social Secretary, . Pastor (Mrs.) Ebun Famubode – Welfare Officer, Barrister Oloruntoba Rotimi – Legal Adviser, Mr. Niyi Ogunlade – Chief Whip, Mr. Ayo Ajiboye – Social Secretary and Mr. A . Adeoye – Ex Officio member.
The Veteran Journalists have since visited some media houses in the state such as Fresh FM, Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State BSES,New Cruise FM, Voice FM as part of the sensitisation activities of the League .
