A group of former local government chairmen who served during the first tenure of the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the former Governor of Oyo have praised the enduring impacts of Senator Ajimobi’s policies on local governance and the empowerment of grassroots leaders.
A statement by the coordinator of the group, Hon Yekeen Popoola to commemorate the 5th rememberance of the late governor
Popoola emphasized that the former governor’s legacy continues to inspire current and future leaders to prioritize the welfare of the people.
“Today, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi is being remembered for his transformative leadership and commitment to the development of Oyo State. Under his administration, the state witnessed significant infrastructural advancements, including the construction of roads, schools, and healthcare facilities. His efforts in enhancing security and promoting peace were also notable, with initiatives such as the establishment of Operation Burst and the Oyo State Safe City project and this is reason that Team Koseleri is reaffirming its commitment to continuing his work and ensuring that his contributions to the development of Oyo State are not forgotten.”
Team Koseleri lauded Senator Ajimobi’s dedication to public service and his role in shaping the political landscape of the state which has become a platform for reflecting on his achievements and discussing ways to uphold his vision for a prosperous Oyo State.
Popoola expressed the Team’s deep sorrow at the passing of Sen Abiola Ajimobi and praised his leadership qualities and dedication to the development of the state. He described him as a visionary leader who worked tirelessly to bring positive change to the people of Oyo State during his time in office.

He explained that this remembrance was a poignant reminder of the positive impact that he had on the lives of thousands of people, most especially those who served under him.
