NSCIA Hails  Oyebanji’s  Re-election, Commends Peaceful Conduct of Muslims In Ekiti 

 

Ado-Ekiti – The President of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Ekiti State Chapter, Alhaji (Dr.) Hammed Afolabi Bakare, FCA, has congratulated Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) on his re-election in the June 20, 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State.

In a goodwill message issued on Monday, Dr. Bakare also congratulated Muslim leaders, brothers and sisters across the state for their peaceful conduct before, during and after the election.

He commended Muslims for participating actively in the electoral process and supporting the re-election of Governor Oyebanji, describing the outcome as a reflection of the people’s confidence in the governor’s leadership.

The NSCIA president prayed for Allah’s guidance, strength, wisdom and abundant resources for the governor as he begins a second four-year term that will run until 2030.

According to him, “We congratulate our elected governor, BAO, on his successful re-election for a second term. We pray that Allah grants him the strength, wisdom and resources to surpass the achievements of his first term and deliver greater dividends of democracy to the people of Ekiti State.”

Dr. Bakare also expressed appreciation to the people of Ekiti State and Nigerians for their support and commitment to a peaceful electoral process, noting that the successful conduct of the poll further strengthened democratic values in the state

The NSCIA president urged citizens to continue promoting peace, unity and harmonious coexistence as the state moves forward under the leadership of Governor Oyebanji.

He thanked Allah for the peaceful outcome of the election and prayed for similar peaceful, credible and successful elections across Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“We thank all Ekiti people and Nigerians for their support in ensuring a successful, peaceful and desired outcome of the June 20, 2026 governorship election. We equally thank Allah for making the exercise peaceful and successful, and we pray that Nigeria records similar peaceful elections in 2027, In Sha Allah,” he stated.
