Atayero of Aramoko Mourns Awujale of Ijebuland ,Oba Sikiru Adetona 

Lagos based industrialist and Atayero of Aramoko Kingdom  ,Olusegun Aderemi  has mourned the passing to the great beyond of one the most revered traditional rulers  in Nigeria, the Awujale of Ijebuland ,Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona .

Atayero  described  the demise of Oba Adetona as double tragedies , coming at time when  Nigeria lost one of her greatest leaders, the immediate past President Muhammadu Buhari.

Atayero ,in his  condolence message  made available  to journalists described the late Awujale as an embodiment of royalty, class  culture and tradition.

According to him , the  late Awujale  always  humbled  himself whenever he mingled with his subjects, particularly during annual Ojude Oba festival.

Aderemi who is also the Regional President, Nigeria ,Occupational Safety and Health Association UK(OSHA) said the late Oba Adetona  was a well-respected monarch within Yorubaland and indeed across the country.

Atayero ,who  also described the late monarch as a fantastic inlaw and father  figure  said he never regretted marrying from Ijebu clan adding that the late Oba Adetona was a good example of how a leader can galvanize his people for overall community development to complement government’s support.

Aderemi also said that he had a wonderful relationship with the first son of the late Awujale ,who was his class mate  at the Lagos Business School.

“He was an enthusiastic and energetic ruler who loved his people and contributed his quota to bringing peace and development  Ijebuland ,Ogun State  and, in deed  Nigeria”.

” I joined the good people of Ogun State and Nigeria to mourn the death of an inlaw, a father- figure and one of the finest monarchs, Oba Sikiru Adetona who joined his ancestors at the age of 91 after reigning for six and a half decades. May God Almighty grant Kabiyesi eternal rest and comfort his families ” Atayero said

He prayed God to grant Oba Adetona eternal repose and his family, Ijebu indigenes, the government and people of Ogun State the fortitude to bear the great loss.
