Bamisile  Hails Oyebanji”s Vanguard Newspapers, Energy Times’ Awards 

A former speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Femi Bamisile, has again congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji over the twin awards conferment by reputable Vanguard Newspapers and Energy Times to celebrate his sterling leadership qualities and competence in governance.
Bamisile, a ranking member of the House of Representatives, described the lofty feat attained by the governor, as rare and exalting, which  amplifies how outstanding, resourceful and competent the Oyebanji was in politics and governance.
The lawmaker representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, congratulated the Governor for making Ekiti proud, by being recognized outside the shores of the state for his  enigmatic leadership and performance that were steadily  making Ekiti epicentre of unity, peace and development.
The serving lawmaker said this in a statement issued by his Media office in Abuja on Friday and made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital.
Governor Oyebanji, who had earlier been garlanded with honours, by reputable organisations like Silverbird, Telegraph Newspapers, Daily Independent Newspapers, among others, was on Friday decorated with the Best Governor Award in Good Governance by Vanguard Newspapers.
In the same vein, he was also honoured with Best Energy Governor of the Year by Energy Times.
Congratulating the governor for being recognised for his a sacrifices and good performance rating in Ekiti, Bamisile urged the leaders to take a cue from Governor Oyebanji and come to realization that being selfless paid off in leadership.
Bamisile said the myriad of awards and laurels being won by Governor Oyebanji were neither purchased nor influenced, but were consequences of his frugal, selfless, outstanding , peaceful and purposeful leadership in the state.
“We all knew that Governor Oyebanji has been legendary in leadership, politics and governance of Ekiti State and Nigeria. He is now a barometer being used to measure quality leadership in our dear state”.
Bamisile stated that the one kilometre Ado Ekiti flyover under construction, over 25 road projects across the state, dualisation of Ado-Ifaki road, construction of 17 kilometres Ekiti State Ring Road Phase 1, the new model school in Ikere Ekiti, payment of salaries, gratuities and pensions, employment of over 5,000 into the civil service,  among others, loudly justified Oyebanji’s as the best governor of the year in good governance.
“In the area of energy provision, particularly power supply and generation, Oyebanji has done creditably well in this regard.
“Within a spate of two and half years, towns in Ekiti East and Gbonyin Local Governments that experienced over 15 years of power outage, had been reconnected back to the national grid. Local economy had surged in those towns .
“The Independent Power plant initiative has also been enhanced by his administration. Some government  offices not captured by the last administration like the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State and others are now enjoying uninterrupted power supply.
“I rejoice with Governor Biodun Oyebanji on these well deserved honours and pray that Ekiti shall get to the promised land before the 2030 of the expiration of his second term tenure”, Bamisile stated.
