An aircraft has crashed at London Southend Airport, police have confirmed
The tragic accident occurred today, Sunday 13 July 2025, in London at Southend Airport (approximately 58 kilometers east of central London) as PH-ZAZ B200 Super King Air has crashed after take off.
Following the crash all flights from Southend Airport have been cancelled.
The aircraft involved in the accident was departing to fly to Lelystad in the Netherlands about 6km south southeast of the city of Lelystad in Flevoland, Netherlands.
Lelystad Airport is an airport 3.5 NM south southeast of the city of Lelystad in Flevoland, Netherlands. It is the biggest general aviation airport in the Netherlands.
The aircraft hit the ground and burst into flames. The Beechcraft Super King Air family is part of a line of twin-turboprop aircraft produced by Beechcraft.
The model is the most widespread turboprop business aircraft in the world, over 7,500 King Airs and Super King Airs have been delivered surpassing 60 million flight hours in commercial, military and special mission roles.
