The member-elect, representing Jalingo, Yerro, and Zing Federal Constituency in the National Assembly from Taraba State, Hon. Isma’ila Yusha’u Maihanchi is dead.
The deceased defeated the incumbent House of Representatives member, Hon. Kasimu Maigari who was elected in 2019.
Family source confirmed the death told our Correspondent that Maihanchi died in the early hours of Saturday in Abuja after a brief illness.
He died at the age of 37 and was survived by a wife, son, and parents.
The funeral prayer will hold today 22/4/2023 at the National Mosque in Abuja after the zuhur prayer according to Islamic rite.
The October 22, 1986, born politician and businessman was elected in the just-held general elections under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Recall that Nuhu Clark, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) and lawmaker-elect for the Chibok constituency in the Borno House of Assembly, had died .
Clark was a former Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation before resigning on April 25, 2022, to contest the Chibok State Constituency election on the platform of APC.
Mr Clark died while undergoing treatment on Monday in India. Babakura Abbajatau, the commissioner for home affairs, information and culture, confirmed the development in an interview on Wednesday in Maiduguri.
