The former chairman of the Associstion of Local Government Administration of Nigeria (ALGON ) Oyo state and chieftain of All Progressives Congress APC, Hon. Popoola Yekeen has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of Christmas assuring that the moment of harvest discovery close.
In his goodwill message to mark this year’s Christmas celebrations POPOOLA urged Nigerians, particularly Christians to use the occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ to pray for Nigeria .
According to him, recognizing the love, joy, resilience and unity being always preached throughout this season have ultimately expressed confidence that the future of this nation is secure despite the religion differences which emphasizes the fact that our strength and togetherness will continue to shape the future.
“I want to take this moment to extend my warmest Christmas greetings to each and every Christian faithful in the state and pray that may this festive season bring peace, happiness, and renewed hope for the future of the state and Nigeria under president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Popoola acknowledged the current situation in the country, saying that the moment of harvest is very close, “this past year has been very challenging for all of us, but together, we have demonstrated incredible strength, patience, perseverance and unity to face the obstacles head-on with a strong belief to emerge stronger than ever collectively, which have underscored our decisions to strive for a brighter future, filled with opportunity and prosperity for all.
He therefore urged the Christians to use this festive season to foster continuous togetherness as they are celebrating the joy of Christmas and the spirit of love embedded in it. “May our homes be filled with love, laughter, and warmth as you gather with loved ones to create cherished memories, fostering community spirit, and embracing the festive season’s values that will last a lifetime”.
As we bid farewell to this year and prepared to welcome the new one, let us march forward with hope and optimism, knowing that our collective efforts will forge a path towards a better tomorrow, Popoola advised.
