Ekiti 2026: Bimbo Daramola Urges Women To Unite For Oyebanji’s Re-election

Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC and former member of the National Assembly, Hon. Bimbo Daramola has urged women to redouble their efforts in ensuring a resounding victory for the incumbent governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in the June 20 Governorship.

Daramola who represented Oye/ Ikole Federal Constituency between 2011- 2015 posited that continuity in government allows existing policies that promote women’s rights, education, and empowerment to continue without interruption.

While congratulating them for the successful hosting of the 2026 International Women’s Day ,the APC chieftain acknowledged the resilience, sacrifices and contributions of women to national development.

According to him , Governor Oyebanji had done well for women and the girl child since the assumption of office.

Daramola argued that the best way for Ekiti women to reciprocate the good gestures of the governor is to mobilize themselves and vote massively for him during the forthcoming election.

He said the government of Oyebanji and the office of the first lady have jointly extended the dividends of good governance to women through, empowerment programmes, bursary and scholarships, skil acquisition programmes, protection against violence and discrimination, improved access to education and political participation.

Governor Oyebanji has appointed more women into politics and key positions than successive governments in the state.

He noted that the return of Oyebanji to the office for a second term as Governor would be a blessing to the women folk and a continuity of women centred government.

The former lawmaker urged them to begin to preach the gospel of Oyebanji to everyone around them and make sure they prevail on their children and husbands not to allow themselves to be used as agents of destruction.
