The league of Veteran Journalists Ekiti State Chapter will decorate Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji of Ekiti State as the Grand patron of the league on Saturday 26th September, 2026
A statement by High Chief Ajibade Olubunmi ,Publicity Secretary League of Veteran Journalists ,Ekiti State Chapter said Sponsor of the programme, Senator Adeyemi Adaramodu, the Spokesman of the Senate, will be inaugurated as the Patron on that day .
Other Patrons tobe unveiled Senator Dayo Adeyeye,the Chairman of Ports Authority and Senator Femi Ojudu.
The Olosi of Osi Ekiti,HRM Oba Steven Adegboyega Alabi and the Onikoyi Onikoyi HRM Oba Moses Ogundahunsi as well the Chairman of the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers,HRM Oba Adu Alagbado who is the Royal Father of the day
The Chairman of the League Veteran Journalists ,Ekiti State Chapter ,Prince Kayode Oni noted that the inauguration of the Grandpatron and Patrons was one of the salient programmes lined up to further strengthen the profession of journalism in the state and enhance comradeship with the public
He further urged lovers of journalism profession and members of the public to attend the occasion which will take place at A B Emporium Ado Ekiti at 2pm
