Ex Rep member .Yemi Arokodare joins ADC

 

 

Chieftain  of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP and former member of the National Assembly, Hon. Yemi Arokodare has officially resigned from the PDP.

The former legislator also announced his resolved to joined African Democratic Alliance (ADC).

After many years of committed service to the party, he has finally decided to move on. This is not just another exit, it’s a big loss for the PDP.

The truth is, the party keeps losing some of its best people. Truly, the time has come for deep reflection and strategic recalibration within the party’s leadership.

The former Chairman ,House of Representatives Committee on Communications and Honourable representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2 (Ijero, Ekiti West Efon LGAs) in 2003-2007,Hon.Yemi Arokodare has resigned his membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

This came barely few weeks after the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, former Governor of Sokoto State,Bashorun Dele Momodu and few bigwigs of the party resigned from the PDP.

Arokodare in a letter of resignation addressed to the Chairman of the PDP Ward D, Ijero-Ekiti in Ijero local government area of Ekiti State, dated July 23,2025 ,he wrote :

” After careful consideration and extensive consultation with family, friends , political leaders and associates,I have made a decision to resign from the Peoples Democratic Primary, effective immediately.

This was not an easy decision for me.Being a member of this party,has been a significant part of my life.Over the years,I have worked with passion and conviction alongside many others who believe in the vision and ideals we stand for.
Together,we have experienced victories, setbacks , growth and transformations.

These moments have shaped me ,and for them,I will always be grateful.

However,I believe the time has come for me to take a different path ,one that allows me to explore new perspectives and opportunities for service,growth, and.impact.”…

Ekiti Summit News reporters was reliably informed that Hon.Yemi Arokodare,a political ally of Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, former Speaker, Federal House of Representatives and former Governor of Sokoto State has sign up with the new coalition party known as the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Arokodare is now en route to formally joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in his hometown Ijero-Ekiti in Ekiti State and is central to discussions forming a coalition to challenge the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2026 Gubernatorial elections in Ekiti State as a big stakeholder in the new party.
