The FG has approved the procurement of satellite gadgets to have visual effects and monitor mining sites in the country .
Minister of mines Dr Dele Alake said the measure will further reinforce the ministry’s move to curb illegal mining activities .
Addressing journalists at the end of federal executive council meeting in Abuja, Dr Alake said his ministry adopted integrated solution framework to recognize challenges of revenue leakage in the sector .
According to him, the arrangement include persuasive and cohesive approach to enable miners pay their obligations to Nigerian state through the establishment of mines Marshalls .
Dr Alake said the move has led to emergence of over 300 miners’ corporative societies which are fully legalised and structured .
He explained that cohesive approach was adopted on recrasitant ones which led to their conviction by law courts .
