Former governor of Ekiti State Ayo Fayose has said that former Vice President and People’s Democratic Party(PDP) Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar may not necessarily have any issue to grind with the Rivers State governor, Nyesome Wike in spite of the simmering crisis within the party .
Fayose who spoke in Portharcourt, the Rivers State capital during Project Commissioning alleged that certain forces close to Atiku were not just comfortable with Wike’s rising political influence and capacity in the party
The former who spoke after a long break due health challenge also alleged that majority of the people surrounding Atiku might be his own political albatross without him knowing .
“Let me say this quickly before going to the commissioning ,I want to belief that Alhsji Attiku Abubakar is not against governor Nyesome Wike but lot of people around the throne are enemies of the throne. They always have an axe to grind with somebody or an issue with somebody. Andvthry take it to where they are not supposed to it .
“Majority of your enemies today are not fighting you for anything but thry know that you have capacity. They know fir sure that when you take over they wil fall apart. There is nobody within and outside the PDP that will not acknowledge the contributions of governor Wike to the party ” Fayose said .
