Daily we live making decisions, from the array of choices that life presents us, most times, rarely would life foist a “fait accompli” situation.
Just like the buffet, options and choices are often set before us, and we have to decide, but our decisions must be guided, because with every choice, there WILL BE CONSEQUENCES!
You better and safer going for what you know, instead of taking too much or combining options that are strange, because the consequences of wildcatting, blind and unguarded choices may be grave and dire..from the short to the long run..wise diners know this for a fact.
So it is In life, indeed life’s important choices must be made carefully, well informed, guided and based on factual information, records that are tangible, traceable and verifiable and not lousy and NEBULOUS promises or fantasies.
In five quick months from today, we will have to make that choice about what will become of our beautiful State and our beloved citizens and residents.
It will be a time to consolidate on a trajectory and pathway that has manifestly showed that we are heading somewhere, it will be a time to decide our collective fortune, corporate fate and future.
Five months from today, we will have to give birth to the future we want and berth the ship of our tommorow at a shore that we are sure about, not one that we are uncertain about.
The question now is, what should influence our decisions? Lousy, sweet words, empty promises, fake patronising hooded philanthropy? Shaky foundation of baited generosity? Fake promises or Proven facts that reinforces integrity, Actions marinated in reputation that gives comfort , Ticked track record that reassures compellingly.
As we gradually approach this day of decision that will shape our future, we must think consolidation of good works and results.
We have seen the efforts of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the last three and a half years, and one thing that we know is that we are not approaching our future starting from ground zero rather one with a resilient foundation built on earned trust.
We have seen tangible impact in Health, indeed dizzying transformation in this sector, we are not oblivious of the Governor Oyebanji’s imprimatur in road rehabilitation across the State, the visible imprints in Education and enterprise, youth development.
The uncommon safety and security that we have experienced and that has pervaded our State under Oyebanji, the reign of peace among others has given strong indicators of the level we cannot go below, rather that CAN only be built upon.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji in these three and a half years has not left us at a spot, stranded, directionless, rudderless or clueless rather we have proofs across board and sectors.
We have seen, seeing and experienced transformative progress and steady growth, focus and determination without uneccesary noise, rather letting results speak.
Without doubt, the job is not all done, and as we know development is not finite.
Development is a journey, and every right step in the right direction takes us closer, measured by the matrices of how many out of children get back in classroom and remains there.
How easy, accessible and affordable is healthcare? how is our travels? Faster and safer? Are we able to feed ourselves?
Are we more secure today than we were three and a half years ago?
Have we shown respect and regard for our senior citizens by ensuring that their latter days are lived in dignity not in penury as we used to know?
Have we transited into a realm where our tourism possibility and prospects are now taking their well deserved places of interest to many both from with and without?
Is our state now a destination of interest that investors and development partners are also putting on the radar?
These are the defining and serious indicators that makes the return of Governor Biodun Oyebanji to Oke Ayoba more and “supra” compelling.
As the decision day gradually gets closer, and in the light of what we have seen, and still seeing, it will be pure madness to see a well paved and charted track leading in the right direction and opt for the, fact devoid, unbeaten path to nowhere that the noise makers who posits as alternatives signify.
As for me, my decision is made, and it is well informed.. to me, Governor Oyebanji does not even have to clear his desk, rather, get set for the day after, that will mark the beginning of our consolidation journey for the next four years till year 2030 by the grace of God, on whose wings Governor Oyebanji has flown in these last three and a half years.
May I therefore invite all men and women of good faith on this journey of guided choice…I have, what about you?
