This is to announce the home-call of a very senior colleague in the Faculty of the Social Sciences, Professor O. O. Omololu.
A statement by Professor Christopher Oluwadamilare said the sad occurrence took place at the early hours of today. Before his death, he was an academic staff of the Department of Sociology.
He was due for retirement in October, 2026. We pray to God to pardon his errors, accept his soul, and comfort his family members.
I commiserate with entire Ibadan Sociology School which include myself on the transition of Late Prof Olufemi Omololu. Prof taught me Sociological Theory in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels to the extent that i wanted to specialise in Sociological Theory until i was told, no subfield of Sociology called Sociological Theory!! May his gentle soul and spirit rest more on the other side.
