“I am deeply grateful to God for the opportunity to serve as the Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Persons with Disabilities, making history as the first female to hold this position since Nigeria’s independence.
“I want to thank Governor Umo Eno for his unwavering commitment to gender equality and inclusion in his administration, particularly his support for educational interventions for Persons with Disabilities, recognizing education as vital for societal development.
“I also want to express my appreciation to the First Lady, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, for her dedication to empowering Persons with Disabilities through the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA) launched on 20/2/2024, aligning with the SDGs and Agenda 2030.
“I acknowledge the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, led by Honorable Commissioner Dr. Ini Adiakpan, for their efforts in digitizing the disability community through various capacity-building initiatives.
“Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda focuses on reaching rural and vulnerable communities, and I am committed to ensuring inclusivity for all PWDs, working collaboratively with relevant government agencies. Our goal is to promote peace, development, and prosperity for Persons with Disabilities in Akwa Ibom State”Nnene said
