NOA Delegation Visits Obalodo Of Oye- Kingdom

The Obalodo of Oye Kingdom and pioneer Director of the National Orientation Agency in Ekiti State,, Chief Bamitale Oguntoyinbo has described the agency as an important institution which requires proper funding in order to carry out it’s statutory functions .

Chief Oguntoyinbo stated while playing host to NOA delegation who called at his palace in Oye- EKITI.

The delegation was on the authority of the NOA Director General, Mallam Lanre Isaa Onilu .

Represented by the Ekiti State Director of the agency, Mrs Kemisola Akomolede the NOA team said the visit was to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions and support of Oguntoyinbo to the agency ,as one of it’s founding fathers in the state.

And,more importantly to notify Chief Oguntoyinbo of the agency’s ongoing nationwide campaigns on government policies and programmes, security, values reorientation for students and flood mitigation, among others.

Mallam Issa onilu thanked chief Oguntoyinbo for being the good ambassador of NOA and sought his continued support for the agency.

In his response ,Chief Oguntoyinbo advocated proper funding of the agency by the three tiers of Government for improved services.

He said the agency had been doing great job in sensitising Nigerians on right values, good conducta, government policies and programmes despite some of its challenges.

According to him, proper funding of NOA by government at all levels would enable the agency to do more in sensitising, educating, re-orientating Nigerians on right values, promising to use his influence with Governor Biodun Oyebanji to assist the agency.

“The Federal ,State and the Local Government must fund the agency for it to function effectively in it’s advocacy program.

” I want to thank Professor Jerry Ghana ,the estwhile chairman ,Director of the agency .It won’t be out of place for the agency to have directly allocation from federal .

Oguntoyinbo also described NOA as an important institution urging the staff to consider themselves lucky and privileged to be working in the agency .He used the occasion to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions and mentorship of the agency’s founding fathers .

Chief Oguntoyinbo also used the occasion to highlight the achievements of governor Biodun Oyebanji in the last three years in Ekiti and ,in Oye – EKITI.

While calling for support for Oyebanji’s re-election, Oguntoyinbo urged those expressing interest for coveted seat to drop their ambition for now .

He boasted that the visible achievements of the incumbent would make it extremely difficult for any aspirant to beat him at the primaries and governorship election in 2026.
