Pay outstanding N1.5billion gratuities- University Pensioners tell Ekiti  government 

Members of the Nigerian Universities Pensioners Association,Ekiti State University chapter have sent a Save-Our-Soul message to the  government  to pay their outstanding entitlements totaling  N1.5billion.
Addressing journalists in Ado-Ekiti the chairman,Chief Samuel Bamidele Akinwale said that the members of the  Association have been pushed to the wall on the matter.
” The pathetic issue at stake is that many of our people are either dead or chronically ill as at today because their dues are not paid and have no money to take care of themselves.
“We want  to appeal to the state government who owns to king carers to call off their stree ao that life will rebin to t called off the striale ASU in some universes did not the strike at a including Samide Cumia University, Them ich is equally owned by Ekiti State Government
We tiny call on Bit State to increase funding of Exsu articularly the monthly subvention. At the same time, state bolders including sta bomines and atum of the University should sit up in providing dmap for prospent of the insult bon particularly in the areas of revenu
“Also, our members are being owed five months pensions (from May 2022 till date) due to what we are made to know as “the ongoing ASUU strike in the University”. We are calling on Ekiti State government intervene in this matter by bailing out the University through a special fund which may likely save our people from going to their early graves. Pensioners are not ora strike but in retirement and should not be made to bear undues punishment because a particular Union in the University is or strike
