Renewed Hope Ambassador’s Visit to Old Irepo,A Huge Success – Ex Oyo ALGON Boss POPOOLA 

 

 

Former Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon. Yekeen Popoola, has commended the visit of the Oyo State Renewed Hope Ambassador of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, led by the former Senate Leader, Sen. Teslim Folarin, to the Old Irepo Federal Constituency, describing it as timely and strategic for the consolidation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Hon. Popoola gave the commendation while addressing a mammoth crowd at a well-attended political gathering held at the Kishi Town Hall, Kishi, Oyo State. The visit attracted a high-powered delegation of party leaders and stakeholders across the state and beyond.

Among the dignitaries who accompanied Sen. Folarin were former Deputy Governors of Oyo State, His Excellencies Rauf Olaniyan and Iyiola Oladokun; Senators Sarafadeen Alli, Fatai Buhari and Ayo Adeseun and Hosea Agboola; the Oyo State APC Chairman, Hon. Masood Abass, alongside other members of the party’s state executive council. Also present were Prof Adeolu Akande, Hon. Bosun Oladele, Hon Olaide Mohammed, Hon Waliu wele, Hon Lukman, Alh Amuda Oyelowo Agbaje, Hon Asim Alabi Aderibigbe, Hon Samuel Okunlade Ododo, Hon wasiu Olatunbosun Kunle, Hon lord Balogun, and a host of other notable APC leaders, elders and grassroots mobilisers from across the Old Irepo Federal Constituency.

In his address, Hon. Popoola applauded Sen. Folarin and his entourage for taking the Renewed Hope message of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu directly to the grassroots, noting that such engagements would further strengthen the party’s base and reconnect leaders with the people.

He stressed that unity, discipline and unwavering party loyalty remained the pillars upon which APC’s success in Oyo State would be built, particularly ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“For us to deliver Oyo State convincingly for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 and return the APC to the Agodi Government House, we must close ranks, put personal interests aside and work together as one family,” Popoola said.

The former ALGON chairman urged party members at all levels to embrace reconciliation, support the party’s leadership and actively mobilise at the ward and local government levels to ensure electoral victory.

The event, which was marked by enthusiastic chants, solidarity songs and resounding pledges of loyalty to the APC, reaffirmed the party’s renewed momentum in the Old Irepo axis and its determination to reclaim power in Oyo State.
