Former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Bimbo Daramola has commended the governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu for keeping the spirit of the state alive by inspiring the youths regardless of their states of origin.
The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) lauded the initiative of the governor for sustaining what he termed ” good reputation” of Lagos as a city where dreams come true .
Making specific reference to Isabella Mac Adams, an indigene of Benue who was employed with LAMATA to pilot the new Blue rail electric trains in Lagos state, Daramola said the singular act of the governor made Lagos an epitome of national unity .
According to him,” Adams becomes the third female locomotive train driver in Nigeria as she also pilot EMU, DMU and even rail buses.
“Only last week, i commended Governor Babajide Sanwoolu for pushing the Blue Rail out within the 100 days of His second term.
“Yesterday I saw a video of hundreds of commuters going into the train as a solution to their transportation needs within a city like lagos
“The take off this Blue Rail will definitely impact lives of many in numerous ways from shortened travel time, to travelling in comfort and of course economically.
“Today I stumbled on the picture of this young girl, Isabella McAdams from Benue State, now employed after being trained as a locomotive driver, alongside other jobs that have been created.
“It’s on this note that I say, Panel of Judges, Our distinguished Time Keeper and My respectable co-debaters, highly esteemed audience and viewers at home, may i respectfully submit to you that the DEVELOPMENT SUSTAINED = MORE OPPORTUNITIES thrust of my MAD campaign for the re-election of Governor Sanwoolu and that of my #sanwooluleekansi and #fortheloveoflagos thematic direction for his re-elecetion was not a misplaced support.
