An humanitarian organisation, Opeyemi David-Falegan Foundation (ODF) has again shown love and kindness by presented cash gifts to some widows in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State .
The foundation is the brain child of a member of British Royal Force, Hon Opeyemi David Falegan.
The gesture was in continuation of the mega empowerment of the Foundation.which had been changing lives of widows, youths ,artisans and vulnerables in the society .
The symbolic presentation of the gifts was performed by the mother of the founder, Madam Falegan at Odo Ado area of Ado-Ekiti .
Falegan while distributing fhe items , said the initiative was aimed to supporting widows and less privilege women in her community during Christmas and new year, a time of exchanging gifts.
The Philanthropist noted that his NGO had been helping vulnerable women through his periodic empowerment outreach to alleviate their suffering and improve their well-being and livelihoods.
He stressed that the foundation had also been providing financial assistance to help the widows covered basic expenses, such as rent, children school fees and medical care.
The Founder pointed out that the birth of Christ signified God’s love for mankind, stressing the need to regularly extend the same love to the vulnerable in society.
The Philanthropist said that the humanitarian gesture was part of her foundation’s vision to reaching out to the less privileged in order to enhance their standard of living.
“As their son , I am just doing what I believe is my duty as a human being. These widows deserve our love, care, and support. I’m grateful to be in a position to make a difference in their lives,”he said.
The philanthropist urged well-spirited individuals, NGOs and corporate organizations to emulate Christ’s love for mankind by reaching out to the less privileged in the society.
Falegan admonished the windows to always put their faith in God and pray for a better Nigeria.
