I am pleased to introduce Justin Madugu, the 2024 WAFCON Winner and a distinguished coach of the Super Falcons.
At 61 years of age, he offers an impressive breadth of experience and qualifications to the team.
Mr. Madugu is equipped with CAF A and B licenses and possesses a diverse educational background, including a Diploma in Library Science from Bayero University, Kano (1989), an Advanced Diploma and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from Adamawa State Polytechnic, as well as Master’s degrees in Sports Psychology and Sports Management from El-Roi University, London.
His expertise is further enhanced by his certifications as an NFF/CAF coaching instructor.
Throughout his coaching career, Mr. Madugu has achieved significant milestones, including his role as assistant coach during Nigeria’s WAFCON triumphs in 2014, 2018, 2012, and 2022.
He has also contributed as an assistant coach in various prestigious tournaments, including the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in 2010, the U20 Women’s World Cup in 2008, the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015 and 2019, and the All African Games in 2015.
Moreover, he successfully led Nigeria’s mini-football team to qualify for the WMF Championship in Perth, Australia, and served as assistant coach for the Super Eagles team B from 2009 to 2010.
In 2019, he achieved victory in the WAFU CUP with the Super Falcons.
In 2025, Mr. Madugu secured the 2024 WAFCON title with the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
