Yesterday, we came to the final stage of the process in the unprecedented nature of emergence of a candidate for a Gubernatorial election in Ekiti State.
It was concluded peacefully when 885 persons duly elected as delegates from the 177 wards in Ekiti State ratified the decision of Ekiti State All Progressives Congress [APC] members to return Governor Biodun Oyebanji to his job for another four years, till 2030, by the grace of God.
As I wrote in my post yesterday, whatever the unseen hand had not sealed cannot be delivered!
The Bible says “no man can receive anything if he had not been given from above”, yes there is the devices of the hearts of men, there is the place of ambition and hardwork, but what ultimately tilts the needle is the unseen hands, ask the man who is believed and taken by many as the best person to be President, how he ended up becoming the best President that never was!
Life is complex people!
It gets more convincing when a man has been properly positioned, aligned and considered to be in right standing with the unseen hand, then it becomes a lock stock and barrel reality.
This is the story of a man who had worked to justify the mandate of the people over the last three years, coming from the background of being at the table when the matter of the creation of Ekiti State was being planned by men old enough to be his father.
He was probably the youngest, among these early state creation fighters team, the question nobody had bothered to ask is why and how come the lot fell on Biodun Oyebanji to be the one?
Progressing from those days of little beginning to serving different administrations in different capacities, all putting him the matrix of administrative and governance crucible, been baked, he had never pasted posters to run for elective position, inspite of the privilege role of being in the State creation committee.
But the unseen hand was working until the lot fell on him to contest his first election for the highest seat in the State that he was a part of the Secretariat that listened and compiled all deliberations about the future that our founding fathers saw.
He contested and won, and in three years, the politics of inclusiveness was introduced and ingratiated in our system that has reduced politically inspired violence and the associated death of the innocent as we used to know.
He not only brought and achieved peace as a pre condition for development, he demonstrated consciousness, concern and care for the men and women who had served our State at their productive ages by giving attention to them through the huge payouts on gratuities and pensions liabilities that he inherited, thereby bringing succour to the hitherto venerated persons who became the highest on the scale of the vulnerables.
In what was a daring attempt to reclaim our education pedigree that had dipped over the years, he daringly recruited over 2000 teachers in one fall swoop not only a way to give jobs to teeming young persons but to shore up and fill the inherited vast deficit in teacher student ratio.
Alongside all these were many interventions in road infrastructure, health sector, job creation in the Agricultural sector etc
So it was a case of the unseen hand carefully working and hand picking a man who could fulfill His plans and purpose for our people and State.
Nothing happens by chance!
In the journey to yesterday, i personally can attest to the fact that Governor Biodun Oyebanji was so ready and prepared for the Gubernatorial primary, so so ready.
In any case he is the only one with records of tangible impact and the undisputable glowing profile of a partyman to present and showcase, and Ekiti people can relate, our people are not as dumb as some online activists would suggest by their actions, so why would Governor Oyebanji be afraid to face anyone at the primary anyway?
When he was endorsed openly at the Pavilion in Ekiti State after series of organically generated endorsements across groups, entities and individuals in the State, the world saw the huge crowd of people who turned out, as NEVER seen in Ekiti State that some people said were paid to attend, how laughable?
You could be paid to attend and still not show up! Instances abound.
The #BAOWALK initiative[ Ekiti State premier and premium health and fitness advocacy initiative that we started in February 2025 had been to 8 local governments areas and not once did we invite the Governor to come mobilise for any of the outings,we start at 7a.m Saturday mornings in Ekiti and people still troop out, everyone saw that, and NOBODY in the opposition had anything like that to show all through until about two weeks ago.
Common now! We are talking about human beings with emotions and sensitivity here, even dogs š that have been abandoned by their owners would not respond in droves even when baited! A few may but won’t be generic.
So if these are few snapshot tests, that affirms where the people want to go and who the people want to be with on the basis of tangible developmental impact, why would that person be afraid to face the same people?
So would the people from Omuo Ekiti or Ekiti East deny the impact of Governor Oyebanji, when power has been restored to the area after fifteen years of being without power? Those virulently opposing Oyebanji should think about this, our people are not Stupid!!!
Or are our people from Ekameta in the same situation as Ekiti east people going to deny the man who brought similar succour? not to talk of the 5000 youth engaged in agriculture and so on and so forth in partnership with Cavista holdings in Oke Ako, Itapaji Iyemero axis that until Oyebanji moved in was the hottest bed of kidnappings.. today it has been turned around, Oyebanji’s opposition should go there and ask them, will these people now leave Oyebanji for any other aspirant that they had not seen in years or before? Habaaa
Guys there is no reason for Governor Oyebanji to be afraid of anyone or going to primaries with anyone, with the impressive array of institutional advantages? the unprecedented rainbow coalition of the heavy power bases behind him? from Past Governors of the State, other political leaders from within and without, and of course Ekiti people also have continued to validate his support base on the basis of his performance in three years thats the background to the endorsements my people.
I alongside many people wanted the Gubernatorial primary at all cost but the unseen hand has its design for everyone..that’s been more than manifest in the journey of Governor Biodun Oyebanji vis a viz the political trajectory of our State. Thats clear.
Yesterday was also a page in the unfolding book š of our historical political pathway as a State, when a Gubernatorial candidate would emerge in full compliance with the extant rules of the party, by consensus, for the first time ever, not only in the history of Ekiti State but in Nigeria.
Whoever thinks this is by the workings of any man is entitled to that opinion, for me i believe that this is a manifest vindication of the presence of the unseen hand, meeting a man prepared for a time like this, and no mortal can stand in the way of the plans and purpose of the unseen hand.
To those who still live in denial and wanting to prove a point, by human efforts, either by way of personal attacks, barrage of disparaging statements and concocted falsehood, please save this post.

Congratulations Governor Biodun Oyebanji, i believe God, that you will move from continuity administration to a consolidation administration, where our State will reap the benefits of the fact that you saw the beginning, had been a veritable part of the present and the bridge to the future greatness of our State and wellbeing of our beloved people.
God will continue to imbue you with the wisdom, intelligence and physical strength to meet and fulfill the growing legitimate expectations and demands of our people in the days ahead.
