They tragically passed away on 5th October, 2026, they were the pilots onboard the ATR-42 (NGR-931) that crashed in Ondo State.
SQUADRON LEADER MANU-GBEJE
The senior officer was enlisted into the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA), Kaduna as a member of 61st Regular Combatant Course in 2009 and was commissioned pilot officer into the Nigerian Air Force on 12th september, 2015.
He rose through the ranks and was promoted Squadron Leader in august 2025.
SQUADRON LEADER ABURIME
The senior officer was enlisted into the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA), Kaduna as a member of 62nd Regular Combatant Course in 2010 and was commissioned pilot officer into the Nigerian Air Force on 12th september, 2015.
He rose through the ranks and was promoted Squadron Leader in august 2025.
FLIGHT LIEUTENANT BAKO
The officer was enlisted into the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA), Kaduna as a member of 67th Regular Combatant Course in september 2015 and was commissioned pilot officer into the Nigerian Air Force in October 2020.
He rose through the ranks and was promoted Flight Lieutenant in september 2025.
