Former President Donald Trump called Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi ‘very smart people’ at his Waco, Texas rally Saturday
In the same speech, Trump ridiculed President Joe Biden for his recent China-Canada mix-up during the Democrat’s visit to Ottawa
‘The whole place, the whole place was laughing,’ Trump said of the Canadian parliament. ‘They’re laughing at our country’
Trump called Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi ‘very smart people,’ while ridiculing President Joe Biden for mixing up China and Canada during his rally Saturday in Waco, Texas.
On Friday, Biden addressed the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa and said, ‘I applaud China,’ before quickly correcting himself. ‘Excuse me, I applaud Canada. You can tell what I’m thinking about China. I won’t get into that yet.’
Trump continued to boast that the Ukraine war wouldn’t have happened had he been president, while also saying he could end the conflict within ’24 hours.’
‘I used to talk to Putin, I got along well with Putin, I used to talk to Putin about it. It’s something he certainly had on his mind. I never even talked about it. For four years you didn’t even hear about it,’ Trump said. ‘As soon as I was out, or left, or however you want to describe that catastrophe, they started putting soldiers on the border.’
‘But even then, he didn’t want to do it, he wanted to get a piece – now it looks like he’ll end up, probably, getting the whole thing,’ Trump said.
