Ekiti Women Group Rallies Support For Lagos First Female Speaker 

Says Meranda will leave lasting legacy in Lagos Assembly
A group,  Women Support Women Initiative for Good Leadership, in Ekiti State, has  said that Hon. Mojisola Meranda’s emergence as the first female Speaker of the Lagis State House of Assembly marks a significant milestone in the  state’s history.
The group, at  a press conference held in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State capital  on Thursday expressed  its  unwavering support for  Hon. Mojisola Meranda.
The spokesperson of the group , Hon.Folasade Akinrinmola also expressed appreciation to the members of the Lagos Assembly for finding Hon Meranda worthy to lead them at this crucial moment  of the nation’s democracy.
Hon. Akinrinmola, a  People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Chieftain in Ekiti State and former Gbonyin local Government Chairman, said it is a thing of joy for the women  despite the fact that she is not from the APC, but  we have a women speaker,  her emergence  is a testament to her strength and resilience.
She said the group believes in  Hon. Mojisola Meranda’s capacity to pilot the affairs of one of the most advanced states in Nigeria,  having demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and dedication to the people of Lagos State.
The group, pointed out  that the women support women initiative for good governance and leadership are confident that the new Lagos House of Assembly Speaker will make Lagos State proud and leave a lasting legacy.
“We congratulate Senator Oluremi Tinubu for this landmark achievement, as Hon. Mojisola Meranda’s emergence marks a significant milestone in the  state’s history.
“This victory is not just for Hon. Mojisola Meranda, but for women everywhere. Her leadership will undoubtedly inspire a new generation of women to take on leadership roles and strive for excellence.
“We sincerely commend the  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,  our president as we are Oliver Twist asking for more support of women Accros’s part line”.
We urge him to recognize the value and contributions women bring to leadership positions and ignore any derogatory words.
