No fewer than five Special Schools in Akwa Ibom State received Educational material from the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) as psets of activities marking its first anniversary.
The leadership of the non Governmental organisation visited the schools located in different parts of the state and handed over the items to them.


The initiative was a demonstration of the commitment and dedication of JONAPWD in promoting inclusive education and ensuring equal access to educational resources for all students.
” By visiting these special schools and distributing educational materials, they have not only provided much-needed support to students with disabilities but also fostered an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
The Special Schools are as follows; Special Education Centre, Mbiaobong, Uyo, St. Vincent’s Centre for Inclusive Education, Adiaha Obong, Nwaniba road Uyo and St. Louise’s Inclusive School, 3b Queen St. Ikot Ekpene .
Others are St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation Centre, Ukana Iba, Essien Udim LGA.
and QIC Leprosy Hospital School, Ekpene obom, Etinan LGA respectively.
