–  Hails Success of Ekiti Mountain Easter Carnival
Ekiti State governor, Biodun Oyebanji  has commended the Director General  of the Bureau of Tourism Development, Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre  for the successful hosting of the  Hike Ekiti Mountain Easter Tourism Carnival
The governor who personally graced the epoch event which attracted both local and international  tourists and fun seekers said he did not regret creating the Bureau of Tourism  Development .
Oyebanji commended the initiative and industry of the Bureau promoting to always accord the Bureau the necessary supports its requires to flourish.
While  also  thanking Ojo-Lanre and his team for the  outstanding efforts in promoting tourism and creating memorable experiences for visitors,the governor  stressed that while culture remains a vital component of tourism, there are numerous other facets that contribute to its growth and development.
The  6.0 Hike Ekiti Mountain Safari, organized by the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development in collaboration with Discover Ekiti Tourism Club, further underscored the state’s commitment to promoting tourism.
The governor  also emphasized the importance of a stand alone Bureau of Tourism Development  highlighting its ability to focus solely on the diverse aspects of tourism, including education, environment, ecotourism, heritage, geotourism, medical tourism, conferences, and more.
The event attracted  high profile  guests, including the Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Lola Ade John, the Director-General of NIHOTOUR, Alhaji Nura Kangiwa, and the Director-General of NTDA, Chief Folarin Coker.
Governor thanked the  stakeholders for their support and reiterated his administration’s dedication to harnessing the full potential of tourism for the benefit of all citizens.
