Kidnappings: Nigeria Army Launches 24 hours Operations In  Ekiti Forests ,Others 

Following the spate of killings and kidnappings in Ekiti State, a detachment of soldiers have been drafted to the state to commence a 24 hours operation.
The  Commander  32 Artillery Brigade, Akure, Brig-Gen. John Lar, said the troop were deployed   to flush out criminals tormenting the state.
Brig-Gen. Lar said the would  storm the forests in and around the state as well as all the adjourning states.
The military chief assured that  there will be no hiding  place for the criminals.and their collaborators.
“There will not no nights and no day, as they are expected to clear the bushes within 24 hours, we just came now and we are starting now”.
The Special Adviser on Security, Ekiti State, Brig-Gen. Ebenezar Ogundana (Rtd), the soldiers have been directed  by the Chief of Army Staff to provide enough security.
According  to him ,the effort is aimed at making  sure all the criminals are flush out in their hide-outs in the forest reserved  ,believed to   already occupied by the bandits and terrorists.
The operation would focus on border areas  of Kogi, Kwara, Osun and Ondo States.
Brig-Gen. Ogundana posited that Ekiti is known as  a peaceful state but suddenly slides into  crimes in recent time .
 He expressed optimism that “with the soldiers around, I can assured our people that everybody can now go to  sleep and close their eyes”.
“We also want to inform the people of the state, we need information, timely information to help the troops to carry out their assignment, tell us where these  people are to make sure the job are easier for the troops.
The operation are just the advance party, we are expecting from the Commander-In-Chief, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who directed the Chief of Army Staff.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on security matters,  welcome the troops to Ekiti, on  behalf of  Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
Recall that two traditional Rulers were shot dead by  people suspected to be  kidnappers while some school children were also abducted .
