OSHA  courts US Organisations to tackle menace of youths unemployment  in Nigeria 

A global outfit, Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA)  is collaborating with  private organizations in the United State of America (USA) in the area of youth employment and capacity building.
 Specofically ,OSHA  is  partnersing Google and has  signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU ) in respect to the subject matter .
The regional president, OSHAssoiation (UK), Nigeria Region, Ambassador (Dr) Olusegun Aderemi who disclosed this to journalists said the idea was to  provide job opportunites to the  teeming unemployed  youths in the country.
Aderemi ,the Atayero of Aramoko Ekiti, Ekiti West Local government area of Ekiti state explained that the motive behind the decision is to lift the unemployed graduates out of poverty and ensure they lay hands on positive venture to be self reliant.
OSHA is a multi national association  that ensures safe and healthy working conditions  by enforcing standards and providing workplace safety training.
He explained  that the initiative would also enable those who are employed step up and spread their tentacles for better opportunities.
“ This a  new idea of OSHA .We  are determined to  take many graduates  out  from unemployment  We are also battling the same problem with graduate professionals,with those that are engaged but looking for other means of advancement  and other commiseration to their certificates and professionalism.
” We want to create an enablement and a channel through which  we would help this people in partnership  with credible organization in the united states .
“Its not a way of encouraging ” brain drain” but a way of providing means of  employment  opportunities to our people and to also help the government of the day  to reduce  the alarming unemployment rate in the country.
“The rate of unemployment in  our society is very high,we are trying to mitigate that and reduce it in a way that will create a meaningful impact to the  society  and also help humanity .
” We  are going to be recruiting from  first to highest degrees holders  both professional and non professional and those who are already working  could still look for better opportunities.
“We are doing this,we have signed memorandum of understanding . I have met with the NYSC  boss at the headquarters and we discuss at length on this , we need to do this to help this present administration .
” I have also gone to Lagos business school to get most of our professional that have graduated to get them engaged ,for us to have a better economy “.
Also speaking, OSHA Executive Director and International consultant, Ambassador Amina Temitope Ajayi said “ When a nation has a brigade of unemployed graduates,it is  suicidal  and it is .like sitting on a time bomb”
Engineer Emmanuel Uwalaka, the regional administrator,OSHA UK Nigeria Region advocates  esthablishment of “a profesessional body for youth empowerment  to help them have good employability skill and status to fit into multinational industries which will help to reduce a high level of unemployment within the country” added the decision would provide  job opportunity and boost  international labour market exposure.
According to a member of OSHA,United Kingdom UK region, Mahhud Sanusi Mohammed  the  development  would checkmate unemployment  in the country.
“This is a great achievement ,a welcoming development and idea.  crucial , looking at the hardship , economic situation and downturn in the country”.
