The outstanding leadership qualities of the Ekiti State Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA),Dr Babatunde Rosiji received continental recognition with the conferment of the KWAME NKRUMAH GROW AFRICA PRIZE FOR EXCELLENCE on him .


The medal which was presented by a non Governmental organisation, GROW AFRICA YOUTH INITIATIVE during the 26th AGM of the Association was in recognition of Rosiji’s exemplary leadership skills .
The NGO is championing the agenda of “pan-Africanism, staying back in the continent to explore all African skills, knowledge and potentials for the development of the black continent .
The organisation which also focused on the eradication of drug abuse” equally honoured present and past leaders of the Association for contributions and for choosing to stay back in Ekiti to benefit the masses despite the allure of practice in European countries.
A statement by the Secretary of NMA ,Dr Moses Dada said the award was in recognition of the charismatic leadership and doggedness of the Chairman.
Under his leadership, the association was able to secure a number of demands bothering on welfare of members.
In his remarks Rosiji dedicated the award to all members of the State Officers Committee, for their cooperation and making running the Association easy.
Dr Rosiji ,who doubles as the SouthWest chairman of NMA however promised not to relent in pursuing the welfare of members and contributing his quota to the general good of mankind through his professional calling .
He appreciated the Grow Africa Youth Initiative for the work they are doing and promised the support and partnership of NMA Ekiti to help broaden the frontiers of their work in Ekiti State.
