Wike renews fight with Ayu ,says PDP chairman pocketed campaign fund

Rivers state governor, Nyesome Wike has lambasted the National Chairman  of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP),Dr Iyorchia Ayu for describing  him and done aggrieved governors as “boys”

Wike also described the comment as uncharitable and inimical to the ongoing efforts towards enduring peace innthe party .
Speaking at the inauguration of roads in Ikwerre LGA of the state, which was performed by Bode George, former Deputy National (South), Wike, recalled how Ayu  was practically pulled out of suffering and given his current position, by the same people he now described as children.

The  governor, warned that the PDP’s effort to reclaim the power it lost in 2015, after 16 years in the saddle at the presidency, would fail if it went into the coming election with Ayu at the helm of affairs, adding that his current posture not to give up the position, amounted to arrogance.

“Just look at the type of people that says they want to rule Nigeria, let’s see how. You can go and hire media and social media people against me, I will show you when the time comes. Ayu, you are an ingrate and you are going nowhere!. Wike fire on jare you are very handsome. Fire PDP and that Ayu with his mouth like igloo. Those he addressed as boys would teach him a lesson. Eelection is not always the way you look at it.”
He said “You can imagine what power can do. You can imagine how ingratitude — how people can be ingrates in their lives. I thought as a chairman of a party who wants to win elections, your business is to bring peace to your party; your business is not to divide your party. Your business is not to show arrogance to your party.

“Yes, the children brought you to be chairman of the party. The children brought you from the gutter to make you chairman. Ayu, you were impeached as Senate President. Ayu, you were sacked by Obasanjo in his administration. Arrogance cannot take you anywhere.

“You said you founded the party, but you left to go and join ACN. You are like a man who founded a company and left the company with your shares. Others have come to build that company. Ayu, you are sleeping in your house and calling me seconds, per seconds to thank me when I made you chairman, Ayu Haba!

“Seyi Makinde is a boy? Ikpeazu is a boy? You are Ingrate. I kept quiet thinking we can reconcile, even though I gave you money to campaign but you took the money into your pocket. You think you can win without us? Don’t worry, at appropriate time, we shall show you.

“Now, we have seen that you don’t want the party to win the election. We will help you. These children — these people you call boys — brought you from nothing,” was the quick riposte of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike to the comments of National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that the governor was still a child at the time he joined the founding fathers to establish the the party in 1998.
