The Lawmaker said this in his congratulatory message to the Governor Kayode Fayemi’s Commissioner, who marks his birthday today.
Aribasoye branded Oyebode as a team player and one of the most trusted allies of the governor, saying his financial wizardry and robustly vast knowledge about economy, helped Fayemi’s administration in surmounting the current challenges and achieving the set target of finishing well and strong.
The lawmaker commended Oyebode for his humility and firm belief in ensuring that Ekiti grows and develops economically, saying his expertise, exposure and vitality have brought positive impacts and panache to all spheres of governance .
He said Oyebode’s shrewd and exemplary out- of -the -box thinking, prudent management of resources, international contacts, self -discipline and spartan lifestyle have been tremendous assets helping Fayemi’s government in delivering democracy dividends to the people, in spite of financial drought.
He said: “I congratulate my good friend and brother, Akin Oyebode, on the occasion of his birthday. His life has been exceedingly impactful and full of successes, making him a force to be reckoned with from his youthful days.
“In Fayemi’s government, Akin was not just cocooned to his office as a financial expert, he was a rallying point and one appointee people fondly relate with seamlessly .
“In Nigeria today, Akin stands tall and radiate hope for the already despairing youths. Most astounding was the fact that his highly scholarly background, being a son a a respected Professor of Law, Akin Oyebode, didn’t affect his relationship with the less privileged.
“Before foraying into public service governance under Fayemi, thereby making him a technocrat and quasi-politician in government, he had a blossomed and flourished career as a Research Assistant at the Lagos Business School.
“He enriched his financial expertise further by spending over a decade in various banking roles with First City Monument Bank (FCMB) and Stanbic IBTC Bank. He had also helped in the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises, to tame the rising and spiraling scourge of unemployment and youth restiveness in the country.
“As an astute business development expert, Akin has helped to promote business strength in Nigeria, by improving Nigerian access to finance, fortifying the institutional capacity of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and formulating policies designed to improve the business environment.
“As you progress in age today, may the good Lord imbues you with more strength, wisdom, knowledge and sound health, for you to contribute more to humanity”.
Amen , may God continue to increase you Honorable Adeoye Aribasoye
