2023 : Tinubu Is Beyond Religion

Tinubu preferred former Benue State governor George Akume to become president of the senate in 2015. He’s a northern Christian.
But the party chose Ahmed Lawan because rumour had it that some elements within their party didn’t want Tinubu to become too “strong” for the new Buhari administration.
Instead of Lawan, Saraki won. But it was Tinubu Saraki fought. And it was same Tinubu that people mocked. That he was finished.
Tinubu supported Oshiomhole to become APC chairman. Later, (mostly) Christian party members plotted and removed Adams, then installed Yobe Governor Buni who is a Muslim.
People all over mocked Tinubu. And announced the death of his presidential ambition.
In 2021-22, Tinubu again preferred Akume to become APC Chairman. The same people brought different Muslim candidates until they settled for Adamu. Within days, the first person Adamu fought in the party was Tinubu. All in a bid to stop Tinubu from becoming APC presidential candidate.
In 2015, Tinubu ensured that Babachir Lawal was appointed SGF. The first of such elevation for a northern Christian. That time, Tinubu did not have a sinister religious motive o.
Ah, politicians.
Anyway, here’s to remind you that Tinubu is beyond religion abeg. We in Lagos don’t care about anyone’s religious inclination. What we care about is result. And that’s what Tinubu is about. Nothing more or less.
Those who want to become CAN president should campaign hard. Since they were not chosen this time, they should not worry, soon, CAN will replace their new president, Okoh.
