The  18th Inter-house Sports Competition of the Federal Government Girls College FGGC Efon Alaaye was held with pomp and celebrations.
The annual event attracted dignitaries from  far and near with team Dipo Kolawole outshines others competitors at the colourful sports festival .
The Unity House, otherwise named after the erudite Professor of Political Science and former Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University,  *Dipo Kolawole’s House* emerged top of the Medals table, out of the five Houses that competed for honour during the 18th edition of the Inter House Sports Competition of the Federal Government Girls College, FGGC Efon Alaaye.
The other four houses which took part in this year’s Sports Tourney of the Federal Unity School are; Oba Aladejare House, which was adjudged as first position in the Match Pass; Rachael Ilori Ojo House; Bola Abimbola House and Daniel Ashaolu’s House.
  This year’s Sports Competition of FGGC Efon Alaaye, which was held amid pomp and celebrations at the College ground also played host to creme de la creme of the society from all walks of life, who thronged the Unity School playground in honor of some of the benefactors of the Efon Alaaye sited Federal Government Girls College, for their individual and collective role in helping the College to find it’s feet at Efon Alaaye since year 2000, when the College began operation.
One of those honoured with the naming of the College’s Unity House is Prof. Dipo Kolawole, former Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University, who earlier served as the Special Assistant to the Federal Minister of Education.
The gesture in naming the Unity House after Prof Dipo Kolawole was, apparently intended to appreciate the efforts and strategies deployed in facilitating the College to Efon-Alaaye during his time as the Special Assistant to the then Honourable Minister of Education, Prof Tunde Adeniran at the Federal Minister of Education, Abuja.
